Here is another version of rice. The dish has spinach and other green vegetables. You can have it any time of the day. It becomes a full meal when served with daal fry or daal tadka.
- Ingredients:
- Cooked rice 3 cups
- Spinach 1 bunch
- Chopped coriander leaves 1/2 cup
- Garlic paste 1/2 tbsp
- Chopped french beans 1/2 cup
- Chopped carrots 1/2 cup
- Chopped onions 1/2 cup
- Chopped capsicum 1/4 cup
- Garam masala 1/2 tbsp
- Cream 1 tbsp
- Whole lavang or cloves, cinamon 2 each
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Whole jeera 1 tsp
- Method:
- Heat water in a pan and cook spinach for few mins.
- After that strain cooked spinach and wash it with cold water.
- Keep it a side.
- Take coriander leaves ,cooked spinach and cream in a mixer jar and blend it.
- Keep it a side.
- Heat oil in a pan and add cloves, cinamon and jeera to it.
- Let it splutter.
- Add garlic paste to it and cook until leavs aroma.
- Add onions, carrots, capsicum and beans.
- Cook them for a while.
- Add the spinach paste to it.
- Add garam masala and salt to taste.
- Cook it until spinach gravy becomes dry.
- Add cooked rice to it and stir well.
- Serve hot.
